NOTE:To those not acquainted with the area, the area between Dalston and London Fields comprises leafy streets and genteel Victorian houses. Not the image that many in the media would associate with East London. This attractive pub, named after one of Queen Victoria's sons sits in the heart of this hidden area and photos of the man himself are dotted about the pub amongst an assortment of stuffed ephemera. The service is friendly and a range of great beers is offered which on our visit included Titanic Engine Room and Southwold Ale. During the warmer weather there are seats available at the front but we preferred the character inside. Recommended.
