NOTE:The New Inn is a delightful traditional pub located on the picturesque Ham Common. The seating is comfortable and there is a garden at the rear with wooden benches although this is the area where smokers tend to congregate. There is a good choice of real ales which is well kept. I have not had a bad pint here. There is a special board and constant menu and the food is a good quality but overpriced. Food is ordered at the bar and delivered to the tables without too much of a wait. The staff are friendly. The pub's clientele is mainly small groups and couples in the over 25 bracket although it does attract a fair proportion of mature set. Families tend to take over on Sunday lunchtimes. All round highly recommended. On the 65 bus route. Free parking available off street around Ham Common.
NOTE:I have mixed feelings about the New Inn. It is in a nice position situated facing Ham common. The pub was clean and the seating was comfortable. There is a small garden area at the rear with wooden benches and long wooden tables. I thought the food was vastly overpriced and the drinks are 15% more expensive than other pubs in the immediate area. The staff were friendly but their dress code left a lot to be desired, many looked scruffy and could do with some smartening up. A nice atmosphere. Recommended if you are prepared to pay high prices.
