NOTE:At last! We've found a pub in the forest of concrete and glass that makes up London's newest city.....and it's open on a Sunday! Half expecting the pub sign to feature the cartoon characters Sylvester and Tweetie Pie, we ventured inside to discover a voluminous interior with plenty of space to stand and sit. The beer is surprisingly good - the entire glorious range of Fullers ales are served. I imagine this place gets filled to bursting point on weekday lunchtimes and evenings with suited types. However Sundays are more sedate. Entertainment is in the form of big screen sports and fruit machines. We pitted our increasingly beer-addled brains against the quiz machine to a background of raucous England rugby fans. This place is an oasis in a desert of wine bar hellishness.
